Week 1 Classes
Junior Primary Mindfulness Yoga Class 1
Welcome to the first week of 10 weeks of Mindfulness Yoga. The first Junior Primary class is designed to give students an introduction to our Mindfulness Yoga classes. Students will learn the Copy Me Game, the Sun Salute Song and other foundational yoga poses that will be used in the following classes. Students will practice short meditations and breathing exercises to help them understand the connection between their breath, body, and mind.
Primary Mindfulness Yoga Class 1
Welcome to the first week of 10 weeks of Mindfulness Yoga. The first Primary class is a beginner’s flow class that introduces foundational yoga poses and the Sun Salute flow. Through the flowing movements, students will begin to connect their breath to yoga poses to encourage them to connect with their breath and their body. These yoga poses and flows will continue to appear in the following classes and will be gradually built upon.
Before you Begin our Classes
It is important to remember that, as with any physical activity, injury is possible when practising Mindfulness Yoga. When you perform Mindfulness Yoga poses and movements, ensure that you practise within your limits and do not extend beyond these limits. If you feel any discomfort or pain, softly come out of the pose and do not continue these movements. When practising Mindfulness Yoga, ensure that you do not suffer from any known disability or medical condition which would prevent you from practising Mindfulness Yoga safely. Mindfulness Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. If you are unsure if any of these poses and movements are appropriate for your body, please seek medical advice.
